Our cofounders and father-son duo, Paul and Josh, are Wisconsin natives with a deep-seated love for water. Making history as Sheboygan County’s very first kayaking tour company, our head tour guide, Paul, has been navigating the waves since 1988 and providing Sheboygan River kayak tours for the past 10 years. Today, we welcome you to come along!

Welcome to The Wandering Kayaker, where every paddle stroke takes you closer to the heart of nature! Founded by a father-son duo of a proud veteran and passionate kayaker, our journey began with a deep-rooted love for the great outdoors. From childhood fishing trips with his grandmother to adventurous kayaking across the Florida Everglades’ mangroves, venturing through the historic stockyards of the Chicago River and into Wisconsin’s very own Door County sea caves, Paul has always enjoyed exploring and sharing those moments with others.
Now, with over 10 years of experience in guiding kayak tours on the Sheboygan River, Paul is officially bringing his passion and expertise of the Sheboygan River’s serene waters to the public. With this decision, The Wandering Kayaker made history by becoming Sheboygan County’s very first kayaking tour company!
